What are contract jewelers?

Contract jewelers are skilled professionals who create, repair, or modify jewelry pieces on a contractual basis rather than as full-time employees of a single jewelry store or company. They may work independently or for multiple clients, including jewelry retailers, designers, or private customers. Their responsibilities can include setting stones, resizing rings, repairing broken pieces, and fabricating custom jewelry designs. This arrangement allows jewelers to have flexible schedules and take on a variety of projects based on their expertise and interests.
