Job Description

  • A Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing large-scale information technology projects within an organization. They oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and closure, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Responsibilities may include:
  • Developing and implementing project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resources.
  • Leading project teams and managing project resources to achieve project goals.
  • Monitoring project progress and performance against plan, and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Identifying and managing project risks and issues, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Communicating project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered aon time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Managing vendor relationships and contracts as needed.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to project team members.
  • Conducting project meetings and reviews to track progress and make decisions.
  • Managing project documentation and ensuring that it is accurate and up-to-date.

Candidate Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Project Management experience.
  • Active PMP Certification is required
  • Strong experience with Oracle Financials, ERP, EPM, or similar enterprise financial applications.
  • Experience supporting financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and finance-related applications.
  • Exposure to PowerPlan and vendor management is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting Corporate Customer Platform or Work Asset Management initiatives is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Finance and Enterprise Applications supporting business operations.
  • Approximately 50% of the work will involve Center Operations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills are expected.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with prior utility industry experience will have an advantage.
  • Required enterprise financial systems and project management experience.
