Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & BRM Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary BRM for Manufacturing, acting as the strategic interface between business leadership and Digital & IT Applications.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement executives.
  • Translate business strategies into actionable digital roadmaps, investment plans, and technology portfolios.
  • Champion value realization, process optimization, and digital adoption across all supported functions.
  • Represent business priorities in enterprise governance, demand management, and strategic planning forums.

SAP S/4HANA Transformation Leadership

  • Lead Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement workstreams within the SAP S/4HANA program, ensuring alignment with global standards and future-state operating models.
  • Partner with system integrators, business SMEs, and internal teams to deliver a scalable, integrated solution.
  • Oversee process harmonization, data migration, testing, cutover, and hypercare for supported domains.
  • Drive change management, training, and adoption across plants, engineering teams, and supply chain operations.
  • Ensure S/4HANA design supports long-term innovation, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.

Legacy ERP (iSeries MAPICS) Stability & Transition

  • Maintain operational stability, performance, and support for iSeries MAPICS during the multi-year transition.
  • Lead risk mitigation, technical debt reduction, and knowledge retention strategies.
  • Ensure seamless coexistence between MAPICS and new S/4HANA components during phased rollout.
  • Develop and execute the retirement roadmap for MAPICS applications and integrations.

Engineering, Manufacturing & Procurement Systems Ownership

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for Teamcenter PLM, including integrations with ERP, CAD, and manufacturing systems.
  • Oversee MES, quality systems, shop floor applications, engineering tools, procurement platforms, and related digital capabilities.
  • Ensure application reliability, cybersecurity compliance, and alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Drive modernization, simplification, and standardization across the application landscape.

Innovation, AI & Advanced Technology Enablement

  • Champion the use of AI, machine learning, automation, and predictive analytics to improve manufacturing efficiency, engineering productivity, and procurement performance.
  • Identify and pilot emerging technologies that enhance product development, plant operations, and supply chain resilience.
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to embed intelligence into core processes (forecasting, quality, maintenance, engineering workflows).
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous improvement, and digital innovation.

Operational Excellence & Team Leadership

  • Lead a high-performing team of managers, analysts, architects, and technical specialists.
  • Establish strong operational processes for incident management, change control, release management, and vendor oversight.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and resource planning for all supported domains.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Nature & Scope

  • Senior leadership role responsible for driving digital transformation across Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement.
  • Acts as the Business Relationship Manager (BRM) for Manufacturing and a strategic partner to Engineering and Procurement leadership.
  • Leads manufacturing, engineering, and procurement workstreams within the SAP S/4HANA transformation program, ensuring readiness, alignment, and execution.
  • Accountable for stability and performance of the legacy iSeries MAPICS ERP environment during the multi-year transition and phased rollout.
  • Oversees the application ecosystem supporting Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement (including Teamcenter PLM, MES, quality systems, engineering tools, procurement platforms, and integrations), leading teams, vendors, and budgets while ensuring cybersecurity compliance and alignment with enterprise architecture.

Knowledge & Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain functions.
  • Strong experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA, especially in Manufacturing, Procurement, and Engineering modules.
  • Hands-on experience with Teamcenter PLM and PLM-ERP integrations.
  • Experience supporting or transitioning from legacy ERP systems (iSeries, MAPICS, AS/400).
  • Demonstrated success as a Business Relationship Manager or business-facing IT leader.
  • Proven ability to lead large, complex transformation programs.
  • Strong innovation mindset with practical experience applying AI, automation, and advanced analytics.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed, global environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in HVAC, industrial manufacturing, or engineered-to-order products.
  • Prior involvement in a full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation.
  • Knowledge of MES, quality systems, and manufacturing automation integrations.
  • Master’s degree in Business or Technology.

  • People leadership and financial management skills, including building high-performing teams and managing budgets, contracts, and resource planning.
