Job description

Asset & Wealth Management

Role: Asset & Wealth Management, Wealth Investment Solutions (WIS), Digital Product Manager, Analyst

About WIS

The Wealth Investment Solutions (WIS) business within Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) manages over $400bn in assets across equity and fixed income customized portfolios in addition to a range of fund solutions. WIS is an industry leader in delivering personalized portfolios and investment strategies for individual investment objectives, including direct indexing, tax-managed, factor-based and environmental & socially responsible portfolios to high-net-worth, institutional, and retail clients.

About the role

Digital product managers within the WIS investment business are passionate about the future of personalized investing and making it accessible across a growing spectrum of clients by building an industry-leading digital platform called the GSAM Advisor Portal.

The GSAM Advisor Portal's core objectives are to help advisors grow their business, get time back, and enhance their client relationships by allowing them to self-service throughout the client lifecycle. There are four primary pillars within the team:

  • (1) Investment Tools: Deliver custom on-demand proposals with investment analytics to explain the value-add of our investment products.
  • (2) Account Management: Empower advisors to easily open new accounts, manage life cycle events, and take actions to trade accounts quicker.
  • (3) Account Dashboard: Access on-demand account analytics to provide transparency and quantify the value-add delivered to an account.
  • (4) Platform: Entitlements and login workflows that powers the platform to be dynamic across personas, client channels, products, and contract type.

Digital product managers are subject matter experts on the client experience spanning the spectrum of investment analytics and operational processes. Product managers may specialize within one pillar and collaborate across pillars to ensure a seamless and integrated experience throughout the platform.

WIS digital product managers mobilize cross-functional teams throughout the division to build digital capabilities for advisors across client channels and work closely with investment teams, salespeople, client servicing teams, operations, divisional product managers, UX designers, designers, tax, compliance, and legal.

As a focal point for one of the division's initiatives to deliver an industry-leading client experience, reduce risk, and scale the business, the team operates in an entrepreneurial environment but with the resources of a large organization.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience or familiarity with investing concepts (equities/fixed income, direct indexing, tax loss harvesting, tax management, evaluating performance/risk, etc.) and/or operational concepts (account onboarding, life cycle events).

  • Interest in working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot and align with changing priorities.
  • Interest in making data-driven decisions and using data to measure the performance of products.
  • Willingness to get into nuanced details necessary to drive high-quality decision-making and ensure prudent risk management that can impact the investment experience.
  • Great attitude and openness to learn, be a team player, and collaborate with others.
  • Partner with senior digital product managers to manage a roadmap and execute it, driving progress throughout the end-to-end product management life cycle and ensure a successful product release.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the end-to-end client experience relevant to your specific pillar coverage; Stay up to date on day-to-day processes across various teams that touch the client experience, including portfolio management teams, client portfolio management teams, sales teams, operations teams, and user interviews.
