Job description

The Merchandiser Assistant I is responsible for supporting proper accounting & control procedures, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and adherence to all company and division policies and procedures. This role assists with vendor management related to A/P and A/R, including invoice management and statement reconciliation, and serves as a key point of contact for routine vendor communications.
The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and communicate in a professional, customer service-focused manner with customers and suppliers. This position offers opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute by identifying process improvements and supporting changes that drive positive business outcomes.
  • Partner with Merchandisers and Controllers to provide timely and accurate records for product and freight positions
  • Deliver excellent service to our customers and vendors, including timely processing of payments and resolution of any problems
  • Actively monitor and create Account Receivables, Account Payables, Freight Analysis, and other miscellaneous reports on a daily/weekly basis and resolve any issues
  • Maintain an organized digital filing system which includes invoices, contracts, reports and payment receipts
  • Reconcile inventory balances with 3rd party locations monthly.

  • High school diploma or GED required (Associates preferred)
