Job description

Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, you will perform accounting and analysis related to inventory accounting processes, supporting the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You will apply general accounting principles, participate in period close activities, and collaborate across functions to deliver timely and accurate financial information while supporting ongoing process improvements.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities
  • Perform accounting activities related to inventory processes, including abnormal inventory costs, lower of cost or market assessments, contract manufacturing, supplier rebates, and balance sheet flux reporting
  • Support actual costing processes through SAP Material Ledger, including variance analysis and review
  • Prepare and upload journal entries and support timely completion of period-end close activities
  • Create and maintain monthly accounting schedules supporting balance sheet reconciliations and financial audits
  • Analyze balance sheet accounts, investigate reconciling items, and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Partner with plant, brand, co-pack, and supply chain finance teams to explain financial results and provide insights
  • Develop ad hoc financial and profitability reports using Excel and SAP Business Warehouse
  • Coordinate distribution of routine and ad hoc financial and cost accounting reports
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing audit schedules and documentation
  • Participate in projects such as mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, policy updates, and process improvements
  • Identify opportunities for automation and support Robotics Process Automation initiatives
  • Apply critical thinking to identify risks, resolve issues, and communicate potential impacts to stakeholders
Ingredients Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance, or related degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, cost accounting, or finance experience
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting concepts
  • Experience with inventory or cost accounting is preferred
  • Experience working with SAP or similar financial systems preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication, organization, and planning skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities

Compensation

Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
