Job description

We are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer to join a highly innovative deep-tech environment, working on complex engineering challenges at the intersection of software and AI
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you will work across the full stack to understand customer problems, rapidly prototype solutions, and build production-ready applications that deliver real value.
The Role
You will:
  • Work directly with customers to understand their engineering challenges and shape impactful software solutions.
  • Build rapid prototypes, gather user feedback, and iterate toward production-ready applications.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices using Python and FastAPI.
  • Work with data scientists and machine learning engineers to bring advanced physics models into customer-facing applications.
  • Deploy and operate applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, AWS
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers, designers, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Identify reusable components and contribute improvements to the core platform.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience delivering applications to production.
  • Strong experience with Python, backend development, REST APIs, and microservices.
  • Experience with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
  • Experience working with AWS
  • Ability to take ownership of complex problems and drive solutions end-to-end.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with customers.
Nice to Have
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, or another engineering discipline.
  • Experience with scientific computing, machine learning, simulation, or physics-based applications.
  • Experience in a customer-facing, solutions engineering, consulting, or forward-deployed role.
