Job description

Why Harvey
At Harvey, we're transforming how legal and professional services operate. By combining frontier agentic AI, an enterprise-grade platform, and deep domain expertise, we're reshaping how critical knowledge work gets done for decades to come.
This is a rare chance to help build a generational company at a true inflection point. We have strong product-market fit and world-class investor support. We're scaling fast and defining a new category in real time. The work is ambitious, the bar is high, and the opportunity for growth - personal, professional, and financial - is unmatched.
Our team moves fast, takes ownership, and is deeply committed to the mission - operating with intensity, staying close to our customers, and pushing each other for excellence. We live by three values: Decisiveness, Simplicity, and Job's Not Finished. We act quickly on clear judgment over perfect information, we believe simplicity is what scales, and we're never satisfied with where we are. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who share that drive, we'd love to build with you.
At Harvey, the future of professional services is being written today - and we're just getting started.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the 0-to-1 development of our Contracts product. This is a high-impact, foundational role where you will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a brand-new product that will transform how legal professionals draft, negotiate, review, and manage contracts using AI. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and complex legal workflows, building something that doesn't yet exist.
This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, deep product sense, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while driving toward clear outcomes. You will partner closely with engineering, design, legal experts, and go-to-market teams to bring this product from concept to market.
What You'll Do
  • Define and own the product vision for Harvey's Contracts product, establishing the strategic direction from the ground up
  • Lead 0-to-1 product development, taking the product from initial concept through alpha, beta, and general availability
  • Deeply understand customer workflows by engaging directly with law firms, in-house legal teams, and enterprise customers to uncover pain points in contract drafting, review, negotiation, and lifecycle management
  • Translate legal domain expertise into product requirements, working with legal engineers and subject matter experts to build AI-powered features that resonate with sophisticated legal professionals
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, design, research, legal, and GTM teams to ensure successful product development and launch
  • Define success metrics and measure impact, establishing KPIs for adoption, utilization, and customer value creation
  • Shape product packaging and positioning in partnership with product marketing to ensure clear value propositions for different customer segments
  • Identify and prioritize features based on customer feedback, competitive landscape, and technical feasibility
  • Build and iterate rapidly, embracing an agile approach in a fast-moving startup environment where the product roadmap evolves quickly

What You Have
Must-Have Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with significant experience in 0-to-1 product development
  • Demonstrated success launching new products from scratch and scaling them to meaningful adoption
  • Strong technical fluency and ability to collaborate deeply with engineering teams on complex AI/ML-powered products
  • Experience working with enterprise B2B customers, ideally in legal tech, SaaS, or professional services
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear product strategies
  • Outstanding communication skills-ability to present to executive audiences, influence without authority, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with legal technology, contract lifecycle management (CLM), or products serving legal professionals
  • Understanding of legal workflows, contract negotiation processes, and the challenges faced by legal teams
  • JD or prior experience working closely with lawyers is a plus
  • Experience with AI/ML products, particularly generative AI or large language models
  • Background in platform or ecosystem-level product thinking

Compensation
$213,600 - $300,000 USD
