  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 6-8 years' experience
  • Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in aviation and airfield construction
  • Occasional night-time work may be required based on project demands

  • Conduct field inspections to verify conformance with approved contract documents and applicable codes
  • Review contractor work for compliance with specifications, manufacturer instructions, and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate daily activities with third-party inspectors and project stakeholders, including ABIA Operations, Environmental teams, City inspectors, and AUS personnel
  • Document deficiencies and communicate findings to the Contractor and CDS inspectors in a timely manner
  • Support Construction Managers in verifying installed quantities for Pay Applications
  • Maintain accurate daily inspection reports detailing work reviewed and observations made
  • Participate in change management processes and assist in schedule evaluations
  • Navigate and utilize project documentation including design drawings, specifications, Design Standards Manual, and contract terms
  • Maintain and organize on-site project documentation, including inspection and test reports
  • Stay current in Codes and Regulations applicable to design and construction
  • Provide daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project is in compliance with plans and specificationsย 
  • Be proactive and alert project management professionals to issues that may come up in the fieldย 
  • Provide solutions to mitigate those problemsย 
  • Observe field work to ensure workmanship and materials meet standardsย 
  • Document the work via the daily inspection report and various other reportsย
