Aptar is seeking a Director, Closure Segment Sales Controlling. The Worldwide Sales Controlling Director leads the global alignment and transformation of Sales Controlling, reshaping and clarifying the role of Regional Sales Controlling across all regions. The role strengthens business partnerships, forecast accuracy, sales performance transparency, and incentive governance, while driving automation and AI-enabled analytics to support data-driven commercial decisions and profitable growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Global Process Leadership
  • Own and harmonize WW Sales Controlling processes (forecast, budget, 5YP, rolling snapshots).
  • Redefine, align, and standardize the role, scope, and responsibilities of Regional Sales Controlling across regions.
  • Ensure consistent definitions, governance, and calendars across regions.
  • Strengthen integration between Sales, Supply Chain (S&OP), Pricing, and Finance.

Forecasting & Predictive Capabilities
  • Lead continuous improvement of rolling sales forecast/budget accuracy (short-, mid- and long-term).
  • Enhance predictive capabilities through advanced analytics and AI-supported insights.
  • Monitor forecast bias, accuracy, and reliability KPIs.
  • Alignment with stakeholders (Supply Chain, Sales, Demand planning)

AI, Automation & Reporting
  • Drive automation and standardization of global sales reporting that includes analyses examining variances and profitability .
  • Implement AI-enabled analytics for forecasting, pricing, margin, and customer profitability.
  • Deliver executive-ready dashboards and self-service reporting (e.g. Power BI or equivalent).

Sales Incentives & Bonus Governance
  • Own WW Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) / bonus monitoring and calculations.
  • Ensure accuracy, transparency, and policy.
  • Partner with Sales and HR on performance tracking and simulations.

Quotation
  • Define & align the role of the Regional Sales controlling function within an overall quotation process reshape
  • Validate reliable quotes, cost competitive calculation and IRR
  • Support sales and management during quote process

Business Partnership & Leadership
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to WW and Regional Sales leadership and Market Leaders in GMD.
  • Develop strong relationship with Regional Finance Leaders to ensure alignment between global and regional initiatives.
  • Lead and develop the Regional Sales Controlling teams by implementing global standards and role expectations
  • Drive capability uplift in analytics, automation, and business partnering.
  • Contribute to global finance transformation initiatives.

Sales Contract Review / Support
  • Coordination with sales & legal
  • Align and manage Rebate / Bonus agreements process

Who we are looking for:
Education:
  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.

Required Skills:
  • 10+ years in Sales Controlling, FP&A, or Commercial Finance in an international environment.
  • Proven experience in process harmonization, organizational alignment, forecasting leadership, and digital/AI transformation.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and change-management skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of standard costing methodology for inventory valuation as well as basic understanding of injection molding process.
  • SAP FiCO module knowledge is key

Languages
  • English: Mandatory (business-fluent)

Travel
  • International travel as required (approx. up to 30%)
