Job description

We are a well-established custom injection molding company seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician/Supervisor to lead our 1st shift molding department.

This is a hands-on leadership position. You'll spend your time on the production floor supporting the team, solving molding problems, improving processes, and ensuring quality parts are produced safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do:

  • Supervise and lead first shift molding personnel
  • Troubleshoot injection molding processes and quality issues
  • Perform mold start-ups, process development, and process optimization
  • Coordinate mold changes and verify successful start-ups
  • Reduce scrap, downtime and cycle times
  • Establish and maintain documented process parameters
  • Train and mentor operators, technicians, and material handlers
  • Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and Scheduling
  • Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on injection molding process experience
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience establishing and optimizing molding processes
  • Knowledge of engineering resins and commodity materials
  • Experience with mold setup, start-ups, and process validation
  • Ability to read part drawings and understand quality requirements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
