Your Role: Senior Technical Services / Manufacturing Sciences Associate

As a Senior Technical Services/Manufacturing Sciences (TSMS) Associate, you will provide technical expertise and oversight for a portfolio of products produced at external contract manufacturers. In this role, you’ll be responsible for advancing the “Science, Capability, and Control” strategy to ensure technical excellence, uninterrupted supply, and successful new product launches.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Champion the Continued Process Verification (CPV) program using statistical tools to ensure process robustness and preemptively mitigate manufacturing drifts.
  • Drive the technical productivity agenda at assigned contract manufacturers, focusing on manufacturing efficiency, cost improvement, and gross margin enhancement.
  • Support the technical governance framework, including change management, deviation investigations, and maintaining oversight of batch processing records and quality standards.
  • Lead and oversee technical transfers and new product introductions, ensuring all processes are successfully validated and meet Elanco’s manufacturing standards.
  • Serve as a key technical interface for cross-functional teams and represent the TS/MS function during internal audits and external health authority inspections.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree in a Life Science or Engineering field (e.g., Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biochemistry).
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Pharmaceutical/Chemical Production, Technical Science (TS/MS), Drug Development, or Quality Assurance.
  • Proficiency in applied statistics for data analysis and process monitoring, alongside strong technical writing and project management skills.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications):
  • Experience partnering with strategic contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
  • Strong working knowledge of cGMP manufacturing environments and regulatory requirements across multiple health authorities.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing data stewardship systems (e.g., Veeva or similar platforms).
  • Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical analytical testing and statistical software.
  • Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary, multicultural teams and build strong external relationships.
