Job description

The Rose Gaming Resort is a $480 million gaming and entertainment complex destination, located alongside I-95 in Dumfries, Virginia. Along with exciting gaming action, The Rose Gaming Resort provides a luxury hotel, eight bars and restaurants, a space for meetings and events, 50,000+ square foot gaming space and over 1,650 Historical Horse Racing machines, and over 80 acres of green space. The Rose Gaming Resort generates an estimated $35.5 million in annual tax revenues and employs more than 500 team members.

JOB SUMMARY

The Gaming Technician is an integral part of gaming operations in that he or she ensures the proper functioning of all games on the gaming floor.  Understanding that if a game is down, it directly impacts the revenues generated by our company.  Working closely with not only gaming but security, surveillance, marketing, and even the main cage, the gaming technician is a position of ongoing learning.  Knowledge of the electronic components is only a part of this key role.  The person in this position will work directly with customers and other departments alike.

Compensation:  $20.00

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Repair and maintain Gaming related equipment on the Gaming floor and shop.
  • Participate in installation, movement, and removal of gaming related equipment.
  • Maintain proper gaming logs to comply with state or internal regulations.
  • Assist operations team in minor tilt resolution such a paper fills and answering service lights.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guest and employees.
  • All other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
  • Obtain and retain required license(s).
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two-year Electronic Degree or equivalent experience in electrical maintenance preferred but not required.
  • Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.
