Job Title: Engineering Lab Technician Location-Type: Onsite (Wilmington, MA) Start Date Is: ASAP Duration: 3 Month Contract (with potential extension) Compensation Range: $58-$63/hour W2 Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401K Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for sponsorship .

Job Description: Seeking a hands-on FPGA professional to support digital hardware validation efforts by owning the complete RTL-to-FPGA-to-lab validation process in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Receive RTL designs from digital design engineers and build FPGA images
  • Perform FPGA synthesis, implementation, and board bring-up activities
  • Program FPGA devices using JTAG interfaces
  • Execute validation testing on FPGA evaluation boards
  • Debug hardware and FPGA issues using lab equipment
  • Utilize oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies during testing
  • Work in a Linux-based development and validation environment
  • Collaborate closely with hardware and digital design teams to resolve issues
  • Support digital communication and control interface validation efforts
  • Drive FPGA validation activities independently from implementation through testing

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of FPGA development and validation experience
  • Demonstrated experience taking designs from RTL through FPGA implementation and lab validation
  • Strong experience with FPGA toolchains such as Vivado or Quartus
  • Hands-on FPGA board bring-up and debugging experience
  • Experience programming and debugging FPGA designs using JTAG
  • Strong Linux environment experience
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and FPGA-related issues independently
  • Strong collaboration skills working with hardware and design engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Python scripting experience
  • C programming experience
  • Experience automating test or validation workflows
  • Semiconductor or digital IP validation experience
