Description

American Traveler is seeking a Chemo Certified RN for an outpatient oncology clinic position requiring prior outpatient clinic and phone triage experience at a large academic Level I Trauma Center.

Details
  • Outpatient multispecialty clinic setting within a large academic medical center (1,500+ beds, Level I Trauma Center)
  • Patient population includes Breast Oncology, Breast Surgery, and Plastic Surgery patients
  • Duties include telephone triage, in-basket management, assisting providers during clinic visits, and new and return patient visits
  • Pre-op/post-op teaching and chemotherapy patient education are core responsibilities
  • Charting performed in Epic
  • Day shift schedule: 4x9-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Parking available on-site at candidate's expense (~$125/month)
Requirements
  • Active CT or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Chemotherapy certification (ONS or equivalent) required
  • Outpatient clinic experience required
  • Phone triage experience required
  • Trauma center experience at a large facility required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions required for consideration
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
  • 13-week contract
  • Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
  • COVID vaccine with booster required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
  • Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved for the assignment
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration
  • Scrub color: Royal blue
