FLOOR/CARPET UTILITY WORKER
(Project and Relief Personnel)
JOB SUMMARY
The floor/carpet utility worker, also called Project and Relief, is employed to accomplish special tasks or periodic cleaning assignments, such as floor waxing or carpet cleaning. The position requires the use of heavier equipment and calls for more operating skills than an office cleaner. The individual in this position should be able to work with a minimum of direct supervision, as he may be assigned to a building at a time when there are no other workers present.
May serve as Assistant Supervisor at a particular job site.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Complete periodic or special request cleaning assignments as per client contracts.
2. Operate floor buffers, carpet shampooers, dry/wet vacs, and other heavy cleaning equipment.
3. Fill in for absent or vacationing office cleaners as assigned.
4. Assist in supervising office cleaners as necessary or directed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
