Field Engineer – Structured Cabling & OSP

On‑Site | New Albany, OH | Contract‑to‑Hire

We’re looking for a Field Engineer who wants to step into a high‑impact role supporting large‑scale structured cabling and OSP projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems in the field, leading quality installations, and being the go‑to expert for fiber, materials, and project feasibility. What You’ll Do
  • Lead technical execution for structured cabling and OSP work
  • Review drawings, cable schedules, BOMs, and project specs
  • Perform testing, verification, inspections, and punch‑list closeout
  • Support project managers with technical guidance throughout the lifecycle
  • Conduct site walks, identify constraints, and recommend solutions
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and field teams to ensure alignment
  • Serve as the technical liaison between field operations and GC
  • Provide input on materials, procurement, and constructability
  • Support training, best practices, and quality initiatives
