Job description

End Dump Operator
Hughes Brothers Construction is now hiring! We are a heavy civil contractor specializing in large site infrastructure, underground utilities and roadway construction throughout Central Florida. HBC offers competitive pay, a robust benefits package and the chance to join a legacy built on hard work, trust and pride in every project!
End Dump Operators are responsible for safely and efficiently operating end dump trucks to transport and deliver rock, asphalt or other materials to different parts of the jobsite, all while closely following instructions from Foremen and other supervisors. This is a NON-CDL Position.
Responsibilities:
  • Drives a truck equipped with dump body to transport rock, asphalt or other materials to various parts of the jobsite.
  • Follow project instructions from construction manager or supervisor.
  • Follow all safety protocols when operating a variety of tools and heavy equipment to complete daily tasks.
  • Perform daily truck equipment inspections and communicate any maintenance or necessary repairs to supervisor.
  • Clean up the worksite when the project is complete.
  • Perform job tasks in an outdoor setting which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity and exposure to dust and asphalt.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift to 40 pounds
  • Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Out-of-town travel and/or overtime is a possibility
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • English and Spanish fluency a plus, but not required
