Job description

Summary / Position Purpose

We are seeking a highly analytical and action-oriented eCommerce Performance Analyst to support growth across our digital portfolio. This role is responsible for owning the integrity, accuracy, and usability of our analytics data while translating insights into clear, actionable opportunities that drive measurable business impact.

This is not a traditional reporting role. The ideal candidate is experienced in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), eCommerce performance analysis, and A/B testing, but also understands the customer journey and has great product sense. They are motivated to go beyond insights—partnering closely with product, UX, and development teams to help bring optimizations to life.

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities

Analytics Ownership & Data Integrity (Primary Focus)

  • Drive Google Analytics 4 (GA4) implementation, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all eCommerce properties
  • Build, maintain, and optimize eCommerce funnels, dashboards, and reporting frameworks
  • Ensure alignment between analytics data, business KPIs, and reporting tools
  • Troubleshoot tracking issues and partner with developers to resolve discrepancies and gaps in data

Insights, Experimentation & Performance Optimization

  • Analyze end-to-end eCommerce funnel performance to identify trends, drop-off points, and opportunities for improvement
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights that directly inform prioritization and roadmap decisions
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), and overall revenue
  • Design, support, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests to validate optimization opportunities
  • Partner closely with the Senior Director to support backlog prioritization with data-driven recommendations

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Develop and deliver regular reporting on site health, performance trends, and key metrics
  • Communicate insights, test results, and opportunity areas to cross-functional stakeholders including Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, and Technology
  • Present findings in a clear, concise, and business-relevant way that drives action

Execution Partnership & Optimization Support

  • Collaborate with product, UX, and development teams to define requirements for new features and optimizations
  • Ensure proper tracking and measurement plans are in place for all new capabilities and experiments
  • Participate in QA to validate both functionality and data accuracy
  • Support experimentation efforts end-to-end, including hypothesis development, test setup, validation, and results analysis

Growth Opportunity

  • Gain hands-on experience in eCommerce growth strategy, experimentation, and digital product development
  • Expand beyond analytics into optimization, testing, and product ownership
  • Play a key role in shaping the customer experience and driving measurable revenue impact
  • Indirectly and directly responsible for product quality
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in digital analytics, with a strong focus on eCommerce performance
  • Hands-on expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including implementation, troubleshooting, and funnel analysis
  • Strong experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce metrics (CVR, AOV, revenue, funnel performance)
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and business recommendations
  • Experience working with developers and UX teams to implement tracking and site enhancements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights and test results to non-technical stakeholders
  • Naturally curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to contribute beyond traditional analytics responsibilities

Success Metrics / KPIs:

  • Accuracy and reliability of analytics data
  • Quality and impact of insights delivered
  • Experimentation velocity and impact (A/B testing effectiveness)
  • Contribution to conversion rate and revenue improvements
  • Effectiveness of reporting and stakeholder alignment
  • Successful measurement and validation of new features and experiments

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
