Conveniently located in northern Sacramento, Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital offering a full range of individually tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults, and senior adults, including treatment for substance abuse and chemical dependency issues with drugs and alcohol. Heritage Oaks is a Medicare provider in addition to contracts with most commercial health insurance plans. Heritage Oaks Hospital - Branches Outpatient department is looking for a Therapist that specializes in eating disorders to join our team! The therapist is a master's level professional therapist (ACSW/AMFT/LCSW/LMFT) who assesses, diagnoses, and treats Branches Outpatient clients struggling with an eating disorder and its comorbidities. Using evidence-based talk therapies, they develop individualized treatment plans, conduct individual and family sessions, and plan and lead group sessions. The Therapist serves as each admitted patient's treatment team leader, collaborating with providers of other disciplines and departments to treat the whole person. They are also able to provide supervision for associate level therapists and master student interns.
  • Formulate and conduct educational, therapeutic, and/or support groups.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, health care team members and community providers regarding patient status and progress.
  • Interact and communicate with community agencies in assessment of and service to patients.
  • Provide liaison and referral services to community agencies and appears in court when requested or subpoenaed.

Qualifications
Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, or related discipline.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience preferred in eating disorders, minimum of one (1) years of experience required. Preferred experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
License: Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences required. AMFT/ACSW/LCSW/LMFT required.
Additional Requirements: CPR required. Handle With Care training within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a department competency exam upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
