Title: Contract Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL.

Reports To: Manager, Contracts and Commercial Operations

Chicago-based salaried exempt role. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship and be able to work a hybrid work schedule in proximity to the downtown Chicago HQ office.

Job Summary

This role supports EXSIF's Contracts team by providing administrative and coordination support across contract drafting, documentation, and compliance activities. The position will require interaction with senior management, the sales team, as well as the other various departments within the company. The position assists with the drafting of standard agreements and addenda, while helping to maintain contract records and processes. Exposure to compliance, due diligence, sustainability, and lease deal analysis will be part of the role, but the primary focus is execution, organization, and follow-through. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, proactive and responsive. Legal or contract-related experience (e.g., paralegal or contract administration) is a plus. This is a global role requiring strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to operate effectively across regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the drafting, preparation, formatting, and tracking of company standard contracts and addenda.
  • Support the review and organization of contract documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain contract records, templates, and documentation within EXSIF systems and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Sales and other internal teams to gather required information and move contracts forward.
  • Help ensure compliance with corporate contract policies, OFAC sanctions checks, and insurance requirements.
  • Run compliance checks and support due diligence activities for new and existing customers (e.g., BvD Compliance Catalyst).
  • Track contract status, follow up on outstanding items, and help ensure timely execution.
  • Assist in identifying process gaps and escalating issues accordingly.
  • Assist in the credit review and system updating process
  • Support internal and external communications related to contract requests, updates, and documentation needs.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage timelines to meet internal and customer deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in contract administration, legal support, paralegal work, or similar role.
  • Exposure to contract drafting, reviewing, or redlining preferred; strong administrative support experience required.
  • Juris Doctor or ABA paralegal certificate a plus, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
  • Organized, process-oriented, and comfortable working within structured systems and workflows.
  • Effective communicator with ability to work across functions and regions.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with willingness to escalate issues when needed.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
  • Comfortable learning and using internal systems and tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and document management/e-signature tools (e.g., Adobe Sign).

Compensation Range: $68,850 - $85,000
