A Contract DoD SkillBridge position refers to a role offered through the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge program, which allows active-duty service members to gain valuable civilian work experience during their last 180 days of military service. In this context, 'contract' means the position is with a company or organization that has a contractual relationship with the DoD to provide SkillBridge internships. These roles help transitioning service members build skills and make connections that can lead to full-time employment after their military service ends.

Skillbridge participants often work closely with seasoned contract professionals, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to civilian contracting practices. The work environment is usually collaborative, and you'll have opportunities to learn from mentors while contributing to real-world projects that support government clients.
