Job Role: Sr. AWS cloud Developer

Duration: 12+ months

Location: Beaverton, OR

Position Type: Contract

Only W2 Tax term


Description:
Responsibilities:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
5 years' experience in highly distributed systems with high transaction volume

Experience building and deploying solutions on public cloud infrastructure (AWS)

Experience using an object oriented programming language (Java)

Experience with working on projects in highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary development teams
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, and design patterns
Experience designing APIs and creating Java RESTful microservices
Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, test driven development, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred.
Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred)
Knowledge of the Netflix Open Source Stack preferred
Experience delivering software in a Scrum development process

Nice to Have:

Experience building solutions with a microservices architecture
Experience building and maintaining REST APIs
Experience with architecting, building, deploying, and scaling Docker applications
Infrastructure configuration management and automation experience (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
NoSQL database experience (Cassandra, DynamoDB, Couchbase)
Messaging experience (Kafka, JMS, SQS, SNS)
Experience deploying, scaling, and building solutions on top of search engines
(ElasticSearch)
Experience deploying, scaling, and building solutions utilizing stream / micro-batch data processing (Spark)
Distributed Caching
Content Delivery Networks
Networking (DNS, BGP)
Experience with continuous delivery and continuous deployment (Blue/Green, Canary)
Unix administration experience
