A-Line Staffing is now hiring an ASIC Physical Design Engineer in Minneapolis, MN 55413. The ASIC Physical Design Engineer would be working for a Fortune 500 semiconductor and technology company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Start Date: Likely 7/6 or 7/13 ASIC Physical Design Engineer Compensation The pay for this position is $65-$72/hr based on experience Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates ASIC Physical Design Engineer Highlights This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday during standard business hours Onsite preferred in Minneapolis, MN 55413 — remote candidates may be considered High ownership, low support structure environment Opportunity to support advanced ASIC and PHY physical design initiatives Self-driven execution required with ability to function effectively with ambiguity and evolving requirements ASIC Physical Design Engineer Requirements 7–10 years of experience ASIC physical design with strong PHY (physical layer) experience Proficiency in Cadence physical design tools Expertise in floorplanning Expertise in power planning and power integrity Expertise in timing closure Expertise in physical verification Ability to support design-related verification activities Strong problem-solving in advanced node design environments (12nm preferred) Proven end-to-end tape-out ownership Experience taking designs from concept through tape-out independently Ability to work with incomplete or evolving specifications Comfortable with new technology and undefined flows Self-starter with ability to operate under minimal oversight Capable of managing multiple design phases in a resource-constrained environment Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days ASIC Physical Design Engineer Preferred Qualifications Experience working within advanced semiconductor environments Experience supporting PHY and ASIC implementation at advanced process nodes Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred If you think this ASIC Physical Design Engineer position is a good fit for you, please apply to this posting with Silvana M. with A-Line! Determines architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. Defines module interfaces/formats for simulation. Contributes to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits.

Evaluates all aspects of the process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use. Analyzes equipment to establish operation data, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results. May also review vendor capability to support development.
