Job description

Summary:
Acts as a manager and administrator for the project by directing, coordinating, and supervising, project related activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as an interface and point of contact with Government project authorities and representatives on technical, project, and administration issues. Supervise project operations by planning and directing project execution, and monitoring and reporting progress. Manage and control financial and administrative aspects of the project with respect to project requirements.
Additional Requirements:
Able to withstand environmental factors such as: Outside weather conditions: High & precarious places.
Exposed to fumes and airborne particles
Very loud noise level
Required to sit, use of hands on a regular basis.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and seek assistance with weights over 50 lbs.
Occasionally perform other physical activities as required, such as:
Stooping
Bending
Squatting
Climbing (including but not limited to vertical and incline ladders, mast and kingpost)
Crawling (including but limited to through scuttles, manhole covers, tanks, and voids)
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
MUST have knowledge of NAVSEA STD ITEM and Government Contracts
5 years of management and/or supervisory experience that includes the overhaul, repair, alteration, and testing of Navy Vessels.
3 years of specialized experience in the planning and management of multiple projects in a shipyard environment.
Recent experience pertaining to project management to include:
Financial reporting
Oral and written communications
Interpersonal relations
Managerial techniques
Other Requirements:
Must be able to obtain a government facility security pass and DBIDS.
Must be able to pass Workability and Drug Screenings.
