We are seeking a Clinical Data Engineer for a 12-month contract position, remote within the US. This role is ideal for a data engineering professional with pharma or medical device experience who understands GxP-regulated environments and can design, build, and support clinical data pipelines and integrations.
Responsibilities- Design and develop data pipelines for multi-source clinical and operational data integration
- Build and maintain data models, ensuring alignment with clinical data standards and quality checks
- Support operational dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and/or QlikView
- Validate data formats and file/API-based integrations against transfer specifications
- Implement and document data processes in compliance with GxP-regulated practices, including change control and audit readiness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions
- Maintain version control and support CI/CD pipelines where applicable
- Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, logging, and data refresh cycles
- Required
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
- 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, pipeline development, or data operations
- Multi-source data integration experience in a clinical, biopharma, or medical device environment
- Foundational SQL skills and understanding of data modeling and data quality checks
- Proficiency in Python or R
- Hands-on experience with CSV, JSON, XML, and file/API-based integrations
