Job description

We are seeking a Clinical Data Engineer for a 12-month contract position, remote within the US. This role is ideal for a data engineering professional with pharma or medical device experience who understands GxP-regulated environments and can design, build, and support clinical data pipelines and integrations.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data pipelines for multi-source clinical and operational data integration
  • Build and maintain data models, ensuring alignment with clinical data standards and quality checks
  • Support operational dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and/or QlikView
  • Validate data formats and file/API-based integrations against transfer specifications
  • Implement and document data processes in compliance with GxP-regulated practices, including change control and audit readiness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions
  • Maintain version control and support CI/CD pipelines where applicable
  • Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, logging, and data refresh cycles
Qualifications
  • Required
    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
    • 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, pipeline development, or data operations
    • Multi-source data integration experience in a clinical, biopharma, or medical device environment
    • Foundational SQL skills and understanding of data modeling and data quality checks
    • Proficiency in Python or R
    • Hands-on experience with CSV, JSON, XML, and file/API-based integrations
    • Experience or exposure to GxP-regulated practices, data integrity expectations, and controlled procedures
    • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail
