Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Operations & Personnel Specialist to join our Program Management Office (PMO) team in an entry-level capacity. In this role, you will provide critical support directly to our centralized Operations & Personnel Center of Excellence (CoE).

This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in defense program administration. Your mission will be to assist in absorbing workforce tracking, staffing, and personnel compliance burdens from our technical teams, helping to maintain data accuracy and execution efficiency across our program task orders. You will operate under the guidance of the CoE Lead and report functionally to the PMO Director.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Personnel Processing: Assist with the administrative workflow for specialized recruiting, updating vacancy logs, and tracking contract personnel rosters

  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate the administrative lifecycle for program staff, routing mandatory onboarding and offboarding forms including NDAs, Access Requests, and Non-Duty Access Requests

  • Centralized Repository Management: Maintain strict version controls and file structure consistency across centralized operations documents

  • Travel Tracking Coordination: Review incoming travel estimation forms, monitor active deployments, and compile preliminary data for Trip Travel Reports

  • Compliance Monitoring: Track government-required training records, update file records, and help maintain the contract personnel records to ensure total personnel compliance.

  • Meeting Coordination: Provide administrative support for program milestones, including scheduling, logistics, and drafting baseline meeting minutes for major technical integration syncs or reviews

Required Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S Citizen

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a related professional discipline and 2+ years of related experience

  • Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Strong foundational understanding of basic personnel tracking, workforce data coordination, or business operations

  • High level of organization and a proven ability to follow structured Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and checklists rigidly

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite, particularly Excel (data entry, basic sorting, formatting) and PowerPoint


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Prior internship or academic project experience working within a matrixed corporate team environment, human resources desk, or federal contracting space

  • Familiarity with tracking employee compliance, training matrices, or coordinating team workflows

  • Basic experience working with collaborative workspaces like Microsoft SharePoint or similar document management repositories
