Job description

We are looking for a careful and dependable Data Entry Clerk to support the Operations team in New Canaan, Connecticut. This Long-term Contract opportunity begins in early July and focuses on improving the quality, consistency, and completeness of customer and account records within a savings and loan banking environment. The person in this role will handle sensitive information with discretion while helping maintain accurate documentation across multiple internal systems.
Responsibilities:
• Examine operations reports and make precise updates to customer and account details in internal platforms
• Correct data issues such as misspellings, incomplete fields, and inconsistent formatting to improve record quality
• Investigate duplicate profiles and take appropriate steps to consolidate or resolve overlapping records
• Standardize mailing information according to organizational formatting guidelines and add missing address details when needed
• Update account files with accurate officer codes and other missing or incorrect information
• Support the review of inactive accounts and assist with closing actions in accordance with established procedures
• Review digital files in the document management system and apply appropriate tags for organization and retrieval
• Follow operational procedures, documentation rules, and confidentiality standards when handling customer information• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, banking, or operations is preferred
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy during repetitive work
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage assigned tasks efficiently
• Comfort using multiple systems and business applications in a fast-paced office setting
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
