Job description

Job Description:
The Office of the Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer (EVP & CSO) is seeking an exceptionally organized, tech-forward, and proactive Senior Project Manager. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Strategy & Operations, you will serve as the operational anchor and project management front line for complex strategic initiatives within the C-suite. This high-visibility role requires a sophisticated professional who can seamlessly navigate a fast-paced environment while interfacing with the President, Board of Trustees, and senior executives. At Berklee, your work directly supports the next generation of creative leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Workflow Innovation:
  • Calendar & Travel Optimization: Manage a highly fluid, complex executive calendar using advanced judgment to prioritize obligations. Coordinate comprehensive domestic and international itineraries and track associated expenses.
  • Meeting Architecture: Oversee end-to-end meeting execution-including building strategic agendas, managing technological setups, and recording minutes-while driving accountability and tracking action items.
  • Process Automation: Actively design and implement innovative, AI-driven workflows to automate routine administrative tasks and optimize the daily flow of information through the suite.

Office & Fiscal Operations:
  • Suite Management: Serve as the primary, professional face of the physical office space, skillfully routing inquiries and protecting the schedule of the EVP & CSO from unnecessary disruptions.
  • Budget Stewardship: Meticulously track and reconcile the office budget monthly, generate quarterly projection reports, process vendor invoices, and manage team expense reporting.

Project & Event Leadership:
  • Strategic Project Tracking: Lead project management workflows across the EVP & CSO's footprint (spanning 180+ staff across four divisions), delivering transparent, executive-ready visibility summaries to leadership.
  • Governance Logistical Support: Manage the planning and preparation for Board of Trustees meeting logistics, and direct the planning and execution process for leadership councils, annual reports, strategic roadmaps, and organizational retreats.

Schedule & Modality
  • On-Campus Presence: This role sits on the physical front line of the C-suite and consistently requires an in-person presence on campus four days per week (occasionally extending to five days based on executive calendar pacing).
  • Marquee Weekends: On-site operational support is required for signature institutional weekend events, including New Student Orientation, Career Jam, and Commencement.

What You'll Bring
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in project management, operations, or high-level executive administrative support.
  • Technical Mastery: Highly proficient with Apple systems, Google Workspace, and emerging AI productivity frameworks to optimize tracking tools and troubleshoot workspace technology.
  • Core Competencies: An absolute commitment to confidentiality, outstanding problem-solving skills, and a sophisticated communication style that balances high empathy with crisp professional brevity.

Why Choose Berklee?
  • Executive Impact: Influence and optimize institutional strategy at the absolute highest level of leadership.
  • Cultural Access: Enjoy nightly, unrivaled access to world-class music, theater, and dance performances across our campus venues.
  • Total Rewards: Outstanding health and dental packages, an institutional 403(b) retirement match, generous PTO, tuition assistance, and a paid winter break to rest and recharge.

Hiring Range: $60,000 to $82,000; salary dependent on experience and education.
