Position Summary
Advanced Residuals Management (ARM) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide
overall leadership and management for assigned industrial residuals beneficial use projects. The
Project Manager is responsible for coordinating employees, equipment, transportation, land
application activities, customer requirements, regulatory compliance, safety performance, and
financial results.
This position requires a dependable and highly organized leader who can manage multiple
operational priorities while maintaining strong communication with customers, employees,
landowners, subcontractors, and ARM leadership. Project Managers are expected to lead by
example and ensure assigned projects operate safely, efficiently, professionally, and in
accordance with all applicable permits, regulations, contracts, and company policies.
The Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring ARM fulfills its commitments to customers
while protecting employees, the environment, agricultural partners, and the communities in
which ARM operates.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Management Responsibilities
• Provide overall leadership and management for assigned projects.
• Develop and implement daily, weekly, and long-term operational plans.
• Coordinate field operations, site operations, transportation, equipment, staffing, and
material movement.
• Ensure all contractual services and customer expectations are fulfilled.
• Monitor project production, tonnage, schedules, costs, and operational performance.
• Identify potential operational problems and implement timely solutions.
• Maintain consistent communication with the Director of Operations regarding project
performance, staffing, equipment needs, customer concerns, and significant operational
developments.
• Ensure adequate staffing and equipment are available to meet operational requirements.
• Coordinate project startup, mobilization, demobilization, and operational changes.
• Manage multiple work locations or crews when assigned.
• Ensure projects remain organized, productive, and prepared for changing operational
conditions.
Leadership and Employee Supervision• Directly supervise Field Supervisors and other assigned project personnel.
• Provide clear expectations, instructions, priorities, and performance standards.
• Train, coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and employees.
• Conduct employee meetings, safety meetings, and operational planning meetings.
• Monitor employee attendance, productivity, conduct, and job performance.
• Address employee performance or conduct concerns promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with Human Resources and the Director of Operations regarding disciplinary
actions and personnel matters.
• Lead in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee evaluations.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and respectful communication.
• Build a positive project culture consistent with ARM’s Core Values.
• Ensure employees understand their responsibilities and have the resources needed to
perform their jobs safely and effectively.
Field and Site Operations
• Oversee industrial residuals loading, handling, transportation, staging, storage, and land
application operations.
• Ensure materials are managed in accordance with approved operational procedures.
• Coordinate daily activities with Field Supervisors, Site Supervisors, equipment operators,
truck drivers, agronomists, and subcontractors.
• Monitor field availability, material inventory, weather conditions, crop schedules, and
seasonal limitations.
• Ensure land application activities follow approved spreading rates, field boundaries,
setbacks, and operational instructions.
• Coordinate with agronomy personnel regarding farmer agreements, field approvals,
nutrient management plans, sampling, and application requirements.
• Ensure loading areas, storage areas, staging areas, roads, equipment areas, and
application sites are maintained properly.
• Monitor project housekeeping and require corrective action when standards are not met.
• Visit project sites and field operations regularly to observe work practices and verify
compliance.
• Provide operational support during high-volume periods, emergencies, equipment
failures, staffing shortages, and unusual conditions.
Customer Relations
• Serve as ARM’s primary management representative for assigned customers.
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with customer management and
operational personnel.
• Communicate regularly with customers regarding production, scheduling, project
performance, material inventory, equipment, staffing, and operational concerns.
• Attend customer meetings, operational reviews, safety meetings, audits, and planning
sessions.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests and concerns.
• Ensure customer complaints or service issues are investigated and resolved.• Communicate changes in customer production or operational requirements to ARM
leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer service and project performance.
• Represent ARM professionally and protect the company’s reputation at all times.
• Avoid making contractual, pricing, or legal commitments without appropriate
authorization.
Safety Responsibilities
Safety is a condition of employment at ARM.
Project Managers are expected to:
• Provide visible leadership for ARM’s safety culture.
• Ensure all employees and subcontractors follow DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, customer, and
ARM safety policies.
• Hold supervisors and employees accountable for safe work practices.
• Conduct regular safety observations, project inspections, and employee discussions.
• Ensure required safety meetings, training, and documentation are completed.
• Verify employees wear required personal protective equipment.
• Stop unsafe work immediately.
• Ensure unsafe conditions are corrected promptly.
• Report all incidents, injuries, property damage, spills, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective-action development.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented.
• Monitor employee fatigue, work schedules, and fitness for duty.
• Ensure equipment is operated only by trained and authorized personnel.
• Coordinate with Fleet and Safety personnel regarding safety concerns, training needs, and
corrective actions.
• Promote continuous safety improvement throughout assigned projects.
Environmental and Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure assigned projects comply with all applicable environmental permits, regulations,
nutrient management plans, beneficial use requirements, and customer procedures.
• Coordinate with ARM agronomy, technical, and regulatory personnel.
• Ensure land application occurs only on approved fields and within authorized boundaries.
• Verify required setbacks, buffers, application rates, and material restrictions are followed.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained for material movement and land application
activities.
• Monitor storage areas, loading areas, equipment areas, haul roads, and fields for
environmental concerns.
• Ensure spill-prevention materials and response equipment are available.
• Respond immediately to spills, releases, complaints, or potential environmental incidents.
• Ensure environmental incidents are reported to ARM leadership promptly.• Assist with customer audits, regulatory inspections, permit reviews, sampling activities,
and compliance reporting.
• Protect soil, water, crops, property, and surrounding communities during project
operations.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during regulatory or customer reviews.
Equipment and Fleet Management
• Coordinate with Fleet and Safety personnel regarding equipment assignments,
maintenance, repairs, inspections, and replacements.
• Ensure employees complete required pre-trip, post-trip, and equipment inspection
documentation.
• Monitor equipment condition, cleanliness, appearance, and utilization.
• Ensure preventative maintenance is completed according to schedule.
• Identify equipment problems before failures occur.
• Report equipment failures and maintenance needs promptly.
• Minimize unnecessary equipment downtime.
• Coordinate repairs without unnecessarily disrupting customer operations.
• Ensure equipment is used only for authorized company purposes.
• Monitor all purchases/fuel usage and prevent waste, misuse, or unauthorized purchases.
• Assist with equipment planning and capital-needs recommendations.
• Ensure company vehicles and equipment are operated responsibly and professionally.
Transportation and Logistics
• Coordinate transportation capacity with ARM personnel, company drivers, and approved
subcontractors.
• Monitor daily material production and trucking requirements.
• Ensure transportation resources are scheduled efficiently.
• Coordinate loading schedules, delivery locations, field access, and unloading activities.
• Monitor truck cycle times, production delays, traffic concerns, and logistical constraints.
• Ensure drivers receive accurate instructions regarding destinations, routes, access points,
and site requirements.
• Confirm transportation activities comply with customer and ARM safety requirements.
• Communicate material-volume changes and transportation needs promptly.
• Assist with identifying and resolving hauling or scheduling problems.

Financial and Administrative Responsibilities
• Monitor project expenses, labor hours, equipment usage, subcontractor costs, fuel usage,

Emergency and Incident Response
• Serve as the project-level management contact during operational emergencies.
• Respond promptly to accidents, spills, equipment failures, customer concerns, severe
weather events, and other emergencies.
• Ensure injured employees receive appropriate assistance.
• Secure incident scenes and protect employees, the public, property, and the environment.
• Notify ARM leadership and other required personnel immediately.
• Coordinate emergency response activities with customers, law enforcement, emergency
services, environmental personnel, towing companies, or regulatory agencies as directed.
• Complete or assist with required incident documentation.
• Participate in investigations and corrective-action implementation.
• Maintain calm, professional leadership during emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial, agricultural, construction, transportation, heavy
equipment, or related operational experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
