This entry-level engineering role is ideal for candidates with a strong electrical engineering foundation who are seeking hands-on experience in utility protection and control systems.The position requires a solid understanding of electrical principles, relay logic, PLC systems, and the ability to work both independently and under the guidance of senior engineers or project leads.Key ResponsibilitiesProtection & Control SystemsInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot protection and control relaying systems and associated devicesInstall, program, and maintain microprocessor relays and related equipmentPerform calibration of protection and control relays and devicesSupport monitoring systems for substation protectionField & Project SupportAssist assigned project leads with field assignmentsSupport documentation development and updates for protection and control systemsParticipate in process hazard analyses (PHA)Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirementsTechnical Systems & EquipmentWork with equipment including:Microprocessor relaysProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLCs)Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)SensorsPumps and motorsAC and DC systemsContinuous LearningMaintain knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in protection and controlRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentBachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)0–3 years of engineering or related experienceAbility to read and interpret electrical schematicsWorking knowledge of PLCs and HMIsExperience with AC and DC systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsMust reside within reasonable commuting distance to assigned APC office location
