Job description

Job Summary:
Johnson & Johnson MedTech is dedicated to healthcare innovation and is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Web Experience Lead. This role will be responsible for leading the technical and strategic aspects of the Sitecore AI CMS capabilities and ensuring a resilient digital experience platform for DepuySynthes.com on a global scale.
Responsibilities:
• Define the global Sitecore AI CMS strategy and platform roadmap to support Depuysynthes.com and associated digital properties.
• Establish platform architecture standards (headless vs. coupled, microservices patterns, content models, Helix principles), solution reference architectures, and environment topology.
• Determine required feature set (personalization, AI-assisted content capabilities, Experience Edge/Delivery, rendering hosts, translation/localization integration, real-time personalization, federated search) and prioritize roadmap with business stakeholders.
• Lead design and delivery of high-impact platform capabilities, including global content delivery, multi-site architecture, localization patterns, and headless delivery endpoints.
• Oversee environment provisioning and platform builds (dev/test/stage/prod), CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and automated deployments.
• Partner with development, UX, data, and content teams to translate requirements into scalable platform implementations and reusable components.
• Define and enforce non-functional requirements: availability, latency, throughput, autoscaling, disaster recovery, and service-level objectives.
• Work with infrastructure, operations, and CDN partners to architect global delivery, edge caching, and multi-region failover strategies.
• Implement performance monitoring, synthetic testing, and capacity planning to meet global traffic patterns.
• Own platform security posture in partnership with Security, Privacy, Legal, and Regulatory teams — including access controls, encryption, vulnerability management, and secure deployment practices.
• Ensure platform implementations support consent management, data residency requirements, adverse event routing, and regulatory review workflows required in MedTech.
• Define controls and audit processes that ensure content publishing and personalization are compliant with global/local regulations.
• Lead integration strategy between Sitecore AI CMS and enterprise systems (CRM, CDP, DAM, analytics, consent management, product catalogs, authentication/SSO).
• Define identity resolution and content-to-customer data flows that enable personalization while protecting privacy and enforcing suppression logic.
• Ensure tagging and analytics integrations enable measurement of experience performance and downstream commercial impact.
• Establish platform governance: content model standards, template/component guidelines, naming conventions, taxonomy, and release/change control.
• Create platform operating playbooks, runbooks, and standards documentation for platform admins, developers, and content teams.
• Build training, onboarding, and enablement programs to raise platform maturity and adoption across regional and business unit teams.
• Manage relationships with Sitecore partners, cloud providers, system integrators, and other vendors; define scopes of work, SLAs, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead and mentor platform engineers, architects, and administrators (direct or dotted-line), and coordinate agency/contract resources supporting platform delivery.
• Drive vendor selection and third-party assessments to ensure fit with strategic platform objectives.
• Own release planning, change-control processes, and rollback strategies for platform releases and major feature rollouts.
• Coordinate cross-functional release readiness (content, marketing, legal, regulatory) and communication for global rollouts.
• Partner with Analytics and Digital Optimization teams to enable A/B testing, personalization experiments, and performance-driven platform improvements.
• Use platform telemetry and business KPIs to prioritize optimization opportunities and roadmap adjustments.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise digital platform, CMS, or digital engineering roles, with at least 3–5 years owning platform strategy or architecture.
• Proven, hands-on experience leading Sitecore implementations at scale; familiarity with Sitecore AI, Sitecore XM/XP/Edge or equivalent Sitecore product ecosystem.
• Experience with cloud-native deployments (preferably Microsoft Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong knowledge of web performance, CDNs, caching strategies, and global content delivery architectures.
• Demonstrated experience working in regulated industries (MedTech, pharma, healthcare) with exposure to privacy, consent, and regulatory constraints.
• Strong stakeholder management, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership skills in a matrixed environment.
• Experience defining non-functional requirements, SLOs, and platform governance frameworks.
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Sitecore certifications (e.g., Sitecore Developer, Sitecore Architect) or equivalent platform certifications.
• Experience with headless CMS approaches, Experience Edge, GraphQL, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with Sitecore AI capabilities, personalization engines, and experimentation platforms.
• Experience with DAM integrations, taxonomy design, and enterprise content models.
• Background in orthopaedics, medical devices, or healthcare digital platforms.
• Prior experience supporting enterprise carve-outs, separations, or large-scale platform transformations.
