NOW HIRING a Cabinet Design Coordinator:

The Cabinet Design Coordinator is responsible for managing projects from concept to completion, including design development, product ordering, and client communication. This role ensures accurate drawings, timely delivery, and smooth coordination among customers, vendors, and internal teams to support successful fabrication and installation.

What will I do?
  • Meet with customers and vendor sales representatives to review project requirements, product options, and specifications.

  • Produce detailed design and shop drawings to support fabrication and installation processes.

  • Manage projects from initiation through completion, including scheduling, coordination, and progress tracking.

  • Conduct on-site surveys to verify field measurements and existing conditions.

  • Place and track product orders to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.

  • Prepare competitive quotes and bids in response to customer inquiries and project specifications.

  • Oversee project invoicing and ensure accurate billing in accordance with contract terms.

  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up to collect outstanding payments.

  • Support daily showroom operations and perform general office administration tasks.

Position requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.

  • Valid driver's license with eligibility for coverage under the company insurance policy required.

  • One to three years of experience using computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Outlook, is preferred.

  • Previous design experience and familiarity with the construction or lumber industry is preferred.

  • We will train the right person!
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, shop drawings, and fabrication/installation processes.

  • Understanding of construction materials, methods, and terminology, particularly within the lumber or building products industry, is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and design-related software applications, including 2020 Design and Cabinet Vision, is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, documentation, and order tracking.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and team members.

  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and project documentation.
