Job description

Cabinet Installer:

Job Description: Perform cabinet install, quality control, customer service and jobsite cleanliness. Reports directly to Lead Installer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Able to understand blueprint drawings and written specifications.
  • Understand work orders, change orders, and all other related job documents.
  • Assist Lead Installer on job sites and bring all discrepancies and special conditions to their attention.
  • Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting completion of the job to the Install Lead.
  • Ability to use job specific tools to install cabinetry, hardware and trim.
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site at all times.
  • Responsible for installing cabinets and trim according to our plans and standards.
  • Install and adjust doors, drawer fronts and hardware.
  • Measure and cut the bases, pedestals, housing, shelves, doors, drawers and tops.
  • Hang shelves, build pedestals and shelves, lay tops and affixes door hinges, drawer slides and handles.
  • Clean up the sawdust, discarded wood and product packaging.
  • Vacuum and dust the work area before leaving each day.
  • Manage time clock and clock in and out daily for jobs and breaks.
  • This position is to be a team player and help in all areas, as needed. Maintain a positive, professional and motivated attitude.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED. Some college is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years working as an installer in a millwork or cabinet shop, recommended.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16".
  • Able to remain calm and clear-headed.
  • Able to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manages time efficiently.
  • Pays great attention to detail.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Must have a valid Idaho Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • General knowledge of Cabinet construction is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly articulate standards and expectations of subordinates.
  • Skilled in building positive partnerships and working collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and cooperation.
  • Ability to read and comprehend architectural drawings and technical specifications required.
  • Possess excellent organization and multi-tasking skills; must demonstrate ability to manage several activities at once, organize/prioritize work to meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs., unassisted (from 35%-65% of the time).
  • Occasional lifting from 41 lbs. +, assisted (up to 50% of the time).
  • Access and mobility in tight spaces.
  • Working at Heights - over 5 feet.
  • Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling.

Schedule

  • The Cabinet Installer is a full-time hourly position. Standard 40-hour work week, plus overtime, as required.
  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (End of day can vary depending on job and drive time)
  • Some Saturdays, as required

Pay Scale: $25-$30HR DOE
