Job description

Job Title

NO RTO WILL BE GRANTED IN THE FIRST 13 WEEKS OF CONTRACT

General Job Duties:

Types of procedures required. Must be competent to proficient in:

  • Abdomen (Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, and Renal. Both normal and Pathology)
  • GYN (breast, ovaries, Adnexa, Uterus, Pelvis. Pathology and normal, post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult and pediatric)
  • OB (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester, amniocentesis, complications, biophysical profile, gestational age, placental grading, abnormalities, IGUR, Uterus/Adnexa)
  • Procedures to include aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative
  • Neonatal (congenital anomalies and neonatal head)
  • Superficial structures (Abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum & testes, thyroid)
  • Vascular (Carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex)

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: Canon i700; Meditech EMR, Fuji Synapse PACS

Required skills and minimum years of experience: Min 3 years' experience in an acute hospital setting. One contract or more experience Minimum 3 years experience as full-time sonographer

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required: ARDMS (AB)(OB)(RVT). Active BLS - must be AHA Certified.

Shift or schedule requirements: 40-hour shift work and call when appropriate. Floating to other units/departments. Dress Code: Personal scrubs, healthcare professional attire.
