Guides students through computing intersection level of service, designing horizontal curves, analyzing traffic signal timing, and applying pavement design methodologies. Emphasizes efficient use of the AASHTO Green Book, HCM, and MUTCD under timed examination conditions.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with PE Civil Transportation depth examination and common challenges such as Highway Capacity Manual methodology, geometric design calculations, and navigating multiple reference manuals. Adapts instruction using NCEES practice examinations, HCM calculation exercises, and geometric design problems to support PE candidates preparing for the civil transportation depth examination.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
