Job description

Boiler OperatorOverview

Our client is seeking a boiler operator to support the operation and maintenance of a waste-to-energy recovery system within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for monitoring and operating incineration equipment, utility systems, and associated plant equipment while ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operations. The position combines process operations, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and utility support in a fast-paced industrial setting.


Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor incineration equipment and utility systems to ensure efficient plant performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
  • Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Monitor process conditions and make operational adjustments to maintain system performance.
  • Support control room operations and process monitoring activities.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential reliability concerns.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
  • Support compliance with company safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Essential Skills
  • Experience operating and maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing or process environment.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

  • Experience working in a 24/7 continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices and equipment reliability programs.
