Job description

Job Title: Billing SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Billing Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing customer accounts, resolving billing issues, and maintaining customer master files. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a collaborative team, with opportunities for continuous learning and personal growth.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate and follow up with customers, sales team, credit, accounts receivable department, scale house, internal plants, outside vendors, and customer care, ensuring they feel prioritized.
  • Manage all aspects of customer accounts, including researching and resolving billing issues, and following up on product returns and load diversions.
  • Employ problem-solving techniques to address issues and know when to engage others for assistance.
  • Utilize SAP, JWS, and Systech software effectively.
  • Set up and maintain customer master price lists for external and internal sales across multiple systems.
  • Maintain customer master files regarding fuel surcharges, freight, and setup of new ship-to locations.
  • Run weekly and monthly reports using environmentally friendly methods to distribute them to internal customers.
  • Request proof of deliveries from haulers and coordinate with the Logistics Department on all freight-related matters.
  • Copy, file, search archives, and retrieve tickets for assigned accounts.
  • Cross-train and provide support in multiple capacities within the team.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables.
  • Experience with invoice processing and billing.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal partners via email and phone.
  • Proficiency in SAP software.

Fun activities are organized to enhance skills. The initial training period is approximately one month, with performance assessments conducted within three weeks. We are looking for a candidate committed to long-term growth and development over the next 3–5 years.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
