Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a skilled and motivated AWS Cloud Engineer to join our growing engineering team in West Valley City, Utah. In this hybrid role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure while collaborating closely with our full-stack and backend teams. You will be an active participant in our infrastructure strategy development and a go-to resource for cloud-native development.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure including RDS databases and Route 53 DNS configurations
  • Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker and related tooling
  • Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring reproducible and version-controlled environments
  • Develop backend services and automation scripts in Python and GoLang
  • Collaborate with front-end engineers on React and TypeScript applications, supporting API integration and deployment pipelines
  • Monitor cloud performance, optimize costs, and enforce security best practices across all AWS services
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed
  • Experienced with GitHub

REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly RDS, Route 53, EC2, S3, and IAM
  • Proficiency with Docker and container-based deployments
  • Strong Terraform skills for infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management
  • Solid programming experience in Python and/or GoLang for automation and microservices
  • Familiarity with React and TypeScript in a full-stack or DevOps-adjacent capacity
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and DevSecOps principles
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams in a hybrid environment
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps) are a plus
