Software Assurance Analyst

Future Opportunity

CSEngineering is seeking a Software Assurance Analyst to join our growing team! This role will support aviation software assurance, cybersecurity, and configuration management efforts within a federal government environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience supporting software-defined systems, aviation communications platforms, and C5ISR technologies in military or government operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support software assurance and cybersecurity efforts by identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in software-defined systems.
  • Perform software testing, validation, and regression testing activities to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
  • Review and analyze software database audit reports, system updates, and configuration changes.
  • Provide technical support for aviation software systems and computerized aviation support equipment.
  • Conduct testing and evaluation of software applications supporting government aviation assets.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to software updates, configurations, and technical procedures.
  • Perform information assurance reviews and support compliance with security requirements.
  • Prepare technical instructions, user guides, and operational documentation for aviation systems.
  • Troubleshoot mission-specific software-defined systems and provide customer support to end users.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience supporting USCG or DoD aviation software configuration management activities.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience supporting software-defined equipment and systems.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience supporting C5ISR systems and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Computer Networks
  • IT Systems Engineering
  • Software Engineering
  • Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Principles
  • Experience with aviation communications systems, including:
  • Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM)
  • Line of Sight (LOS) Communications
  • LINK 16 Tactical Data Link Systems
  • HF, VHF, and UHF Communications Systems
  • Knowledge of aviation engineering, maintenance, logistics, and configuration management processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard aviation programs.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (Security+, CISSP, CASP+, or equivalent).
  • Experience with software configuration management tools and processes.
  • Experience supporting aviation mission systems integration and sustainment efforts.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
