Job Description
VG Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced Contract Technical Lead (CTL) to provide leadership, direction, and technical oversight for technology-driven projects in support of government or corporate initiatives. This role requires extensive experience managing creative, technical, and contractor-based teams while implementing innovative solutions and ensuring high-quality mission support. The CTL will be responsible for strategic planning, operational leadership, and problem-solving across geographically dispersed staff and resources.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead technology innovation and implementation for mission-driven projects in support of government or corporate clients.
  • Provide on-site leadership, direction, and management to a diverse contractor-based workforce performing multiple technical and creative tasks.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in solving complex issues affecting teams, processes, and technology resources.
  • Think strategically to address operational and technical challenges across dispersed teams.
  • Oversee project execution to ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements and contract objectives.
  • Manage and mentor staff, including task assignment, progress monitoring, and performance guidance.
  • Provide technical expertise in DSLR and 4K video camera technology, IT infrastructure (computer configuration, network infrastructure, SAN/NAS), and related tools.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Adobe software suites, and Apple and Windows operating systems in support of project deliverables.
  • Ensure project standards, documentation, and workflows are maintained and updated.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to technical operations, workflows, and team management.


Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret security clearance is required (must have at time of hire).
  • Demonstrated leadership and management of geographically dispersed technical teams.
  • Expert-level knowledge of video technology, IT infrastructure, and relevant software tools.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliverables.


Education/Experience:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in any discipline with 15 years of experience leading technology-driven government or corporate contracts.
  • Substitution 1: Master’s (MA/MS) or PhD in any discipline with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Substitution 2: Associate’s degree in any discipline with 20 years of relevant experience.
