Mechanical Assembly Technician

Sikky

Rosedale, MD โ€ข On-site

$23/hr

Full-time

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, patient, and highly motivated Production Assembly Technician to join our team.

In this exciting and everchanging-role, you are the final line of defense for our product quality. You will be responsible for building premium products from the ground up—ranging from intricate Sikky automotive components to diverse Xgen contract assemblies for external clients.

This is a clean, organized, and fast-paced environment where manual dexterity, adaptability, and a commitment to a "zero-defect" standard are highly valued.

Compensation:

$18 - $23 hourly

Responsibilities:

Precision Component Assembly

Multi-Industry Assembly:

  • Build high-quality components for both the Sikky automotive line and various Xgen contract clients, following technical diagrams, blueprints, or written work instructions.

Adaptable Workflow:

  • Comfortably transition between different product lines, assembly processes, and workstation setups as production demands shift.

Tool Operation:

  • Safely and effectively operate hand tools, torque wrenches, pneumatic drivers, small arbor presses, and specialized assembly fixtures.

Final Prep:

  • Clean and inspect assembled parts to ensure they are ready for the end customer or contract client.

Secure Packaging:

  • Securely box, label, and document finished products to ensure they are protected during shipment and accounted for in inventory.

Qualifications:

What We Are Looking For

  • The "Builder" Mindset: You enjoy working with your hands and have a high level of manual dexterity. Experience with hand tools.

  • Adaptability: You enjoy variety. You can easily switch gears from assembling a complex automotive shifter to a delicate commercial product.

  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read and follow basic technical drawings, exploded-view diagrams, or step-by-step assembly instructions.

  • Meticulous Standards: You take pride in your work. A missing seal or an under-torqued bolt bothers you.

  • Physical Ability: Ability to stand at an assembly workstation for an 8-hour shift and lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.

  • Reliability: You show up on time, take ownership of your workstation, and keep your area organized. Previous manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience is preferred, but we will fully train the right candidate who demonstrates the right attitude.
