Job Description

Position           : Sr. Application Engineer

Location          : Buena Vista, FL Hybrid (4 Days Onsite)

Duration         : Long term contract

JOB DESCRIPTION: In this role, as a Senior Application Engineer, you will be part of a team developing a web-based analytic platform.

  • Proficient in AWS web application architecture
  • Proficient in React, Python, and/or Django
  • Experience building applications in a decision science environment
  • Experience with Next.js
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Experience leading UI/UX design
  • Proficient in optimizing front-end and back-end applications for large and complex datasets
  • Experience developing user scenarios, business requirements, mockups, and technical specifications
  • Experience evaluating, choosing, and rolling out team software tools and component libraries
  • Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and ship new features of a cutting-edge software platform that serves strategic internal business decision-makers.
  • Innovate by researching and championing new ways to solve complex software problems
  • Lead, mentor, and assist other Application Engineers
  • Collaborate with Product Managers on application requirements, priorities, estimates, and project plans
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to understand science model inputs & outputs and represent them in user-friendly applications
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers on data storage, retrieval, and archiving routines
  • Collaborate with DevOps to architect application environments, security, and continuous integration
  • Draft and propose creative user experiences through workflows, wireframes, and mockups that meet business requirements
  • Support a global enterprise-wide mission by evangelizing best practices in the field of software development.
