Job description

Amazon is looking for a Contracts Manager passionate about innovating contracts management support for our North American Stores businesses.
In this role you will draft and negotiate contracts across a large team. You will build processes that address risk while giving the business flexibility to move quickly. You will develop creative, business-centric strategies that contribute to team-wide initiatives and projects.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain AI-enhanced contract templates, training materials, SOPs for contracting processes, and track associated metrics and AI performance indicators
- Drive innovation in contracts management support, including identifying and implementing AI-enabled solutions across the legal team and supported businesses
- Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, leveraging AI-powered tools to streamline contract creation, review, and analysis
- Identify key risks/gaps in contracts using AI auditing methodologies; evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, bias, and compliance, and recommend risk mitigation changes
- Provide routine legal support on day-to-day issues including contract reviews, negotiations, marketing materials review, compliance questions, dispute matters, policy guidance, and new initiative planning. Respond promptly and escalate appropriately

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Can use AI for legal research, contract analysis, or document review
- Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
- Experience advising business teams to support the strategy, negotiation and execution of commercial contracts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
- Can manage a high volume of requests and competing deadlines
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience with AI in the legal context, including building/configuring AI contract tools, developing prompts and workflows, auditing AI outputs, and establishing governance frameworks for responsible AI use

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
