Job Description Summary

The Sales Operations Leader – Private Label is responsible for turning our private label strategy into on-time, profitable execution. This individual contributor will partner closely with the Director of Private Label Sales, Commercialization, Finance, Supply Chain, and key customers to deliver sales and profit targets. This role owns the daily operational cadence of the business, from RFPs and forecasts to trade expenditure, reporting, and communication with customers, external and internal stakeholders.

Essential Functions

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Support the budget, forecast, and multi-year strategic planning process
  • Provide financial analysis to management to measure progress and achievement versus plan and prior year
  • Coordinate and support the monthly close process by preparing month end reporting data and variance analyses

Reporting & Data Management

  • Build, consolidate and analyze all financial reporting documents in both Power BI and Excel
  • Prepare, maintain, and improve financial models and reporting tools
  • Work to optimize reporting tools and profit analysis for senior management by customer and product
  • Validate data from multiple sources and ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data being provided

Business Partnership & Cost Management

  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, and commercial finance teams to focus on driving overall COGS performance
  • Collaborate with Plant Operation teams related to raw material, packaging, labor, overhead and production cost of Milk
  • Develop deep understanding of dairy commodity market base product costs in partnership with Procurement
  • Annual review of contract pricing and vendor relationships for external manufacturing arrangements

Presentations & Process Improvement

  • Organize, assist with presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Identify and drive process improvement through standard and ad hoc reporting

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with an emphasis in business, economics, finance or accounting
  • 1-3 years of Procurement Finance experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (spreadsheets, database management, and presentations)
  • Ability to work within ERP systems and leverage data mining to support proper pricing and invoicing
  • Must be able to travel based on the needs of the business (10-25%)

Specific Competencies

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Must be able to structure the problems, collect data and present results
  • Preferred experience in business intelligence software such as Microsoft’s Power BI
  • Office-based role with regular interaction across departments and with external customers and brokers.
