Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct weekly 5S audits, track corrective actions, and follow up on overdue items.
  • Perform random Leader Standard Work audits and maintain updated user rosters.
  • Track Tier meeting attainment and ensure Tier boards have complete/up-to-date training matrices and visuals.
  • Participate and support daily cadence of Tier Meetings and Gemba walks. 
  • Maintain visual management boards (printing materials, updating information, allocating magnets/labels).
  • Support workshops and meetings by preparing prework packets, attendance, meeting minutes, and logistics.
  • Gather quotes and submit continuous improvement related orders through iProcurement.
  • Maintain a centralized document library for all standard templates and continuous improvement documents.
  • Pull continuous improvement Idea System reports and prepare summaries for review.
  • Take photos, notes, and document findings from 5S Gemba walks and continuous improvement activities. Generate A3 documentation to promote improvement activities and share results.  
  • Conduct continuous improvement training sessions 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or fast-paced industrial environments.
  • Lean manufacturing\continuous improvement background and experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and people skills; personable and comfortable interacting with all levels.
  • Ability to stay organized, follow structured processes, and handle routine tasks with urgency.
  • Problem-solving ability and willingness to think outside the box.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to travel regularly between multiple local sites.

Preferred

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification(s).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Leader Standard Work, Tier boards, Kanban and visual management.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies or auditing roles.
  • Occasional flexibility to work across multiple shifts

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • Frequent walking on the production floor; occasional standing during audits or meetings.
  • Must follow PPE and safety requirements.
  • Work performed in both office, manufacturing and Warehouse environments.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Visual acuity to distinguish between colors

TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • Weekly local travel is required to support activity at the local off-site locations.
