Continuous Improvement CI Specialist in  GAC Savannah

 What You’ll Do

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you’ll play a key role in transforming how our Service Center Operations teams work. In this role, you will:

  • Partner directly with Gulfstream’s Customer Support Operations Business Transformation Team to deliver impactful process improvements.
  • Drive enhancements to mobility and service software used in our Service Centers.
  • Use data, visualization tools, and Lean principles to identify opportunities and influence smarter decision‑making.
  • Contribute to projects that directly support aircraft service excellence—and yes, a passion for aviation definitely makes the work even more fun!
 What Makes You a Great Fit

We’re looking for someone who brings curiosity, creativity, and analytical strength to the table. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Broad continuous improvement or Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Intermediate skills in data visualization (Power BI, for example).
  • Experience with software implementation—especially in an aviation service environment (a big plus!).
  • An enthusiasm for learning and a passion for improving how things get done.

Unique Skills:

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Program Management, Engineering, Finance or related field required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 years experience in A/C design, mfg or service and support, to include 3 years program management consisting of any combination of supervisory experience, complex program management, and/or technical experience. Position Purpose:Create and provide integrated plans for input to new products in development. Manages cross functional project teams that coordinates product development. Responsibilities include guiding and leading the team in achieving the goals of the project including issue identification, resolution and contingency planning.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality and stakeholders goals and objectives.
  2. Reviews, manages, proactively challenges, and controls status of projects operation of the programs and budgets .
  3. Manages schedules and prepare status reports.
  4. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members and line managers.
  5. Acts as a liaison with alliance partners and thought leaders external to the company.
  6. Interfaces with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
  7. Analyzes program certification schedule and performance targets/guarantee progress.
  8. Develops draft master schedules for new product development.
  9. Monitors variance analysis to schedules and budgets for all projects to ensure desired savings/revenue are achieved.
  10. Monitors quality, reliability and availability issues to ensure top drivers are identified and resolved.
Additional Functions:
  1. Supports departments Intranet Web site and newsletters to maintain Technical and Program updates. .
  2. Support supplier design and program reviews to insure program deliverables, schedules and budgets are met. .
Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
  1. Requires a comprehensive knowledge of Aircraft Industry Production, Engineering, Quality, Completion, Material and Service Support Operations.
  2. Requires a detailed understanding of Program/Project Management processes and procedures and an intimate understanding of in service A/C operations.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
