Job Summary
Columbus State University has an opening for a student assistant in Continuing & Professional Education (CPE). This position will assist department employees with a variety of tasks in order to create outstanding Continuing Education programs and to provide excellent service to our rental event clients.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will interact with customers over the phone and in-person; assist with facilitation of CPE classes and rental events; provide clerical and administrative support (e.g. process registration, create rosters, and process ballet payments.); assist with setup and maintenance of audio/visual equipment; assist with room and building setups/breakdowns; assist all coordinators with tasks as requested; and all other related duties as assigned; assist with opening/closing the building.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills; possess the ability to multi-task and use good judgment; flexibility (schedule, job duties, etc.); experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). The candidate should also be consistent and dependable in their work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.

Proposed Salary
The salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position can work up to 25 hours per week.
