We are seeking an innovative and relationship-driven Health Careers Program Manager to lead initiatives that create sustainable pathways into healthcare careers for students throughout New Jersey.

In this role, you'll collaborate with educators, community organizations, hospital leaders, and workforce partners to design and grow programs that inspire students, strengthen the healthcare workforce, and expand access to career opportunities. A Typical Day
As the Health Careers Program Manager, you'll serve as the primary liaison between RWJBarnabas Health, educational institutions, and community partners to develop innovative workforce development initiatives. 

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Building and maintaining partnerships with high schools, colleges, universities, and community organizations to strengthen healthcare career pathways.
  • Designing and managing programs that increase student awareness, enrollment, and employment opportunities within RWJBarnabas Health.
  • Developing structured career pathways, bridge programs, internships, shadowing experiences, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Collaborating with internal leaders and external partners to create grant-funded educational and employment opportunities.
  • Supporting students as they progress from education to employment by monitoring academic performance, credentialing, and workforce readiness.
  • Leading strategic planning efforts, establishing program goals, evaluating outcomes, and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Identifying, writing, and managing grants that support educational programming, student stipends, workforce initiatives, and community partnerships.
  • Tracking program metrics, student participation, employment outcomes, and organizational impact while preparing reports for leadership, school partners, and funding agencies.
  • Representing RWJBarnabas Health at educational events, career fairs, and community outreach initiatives to strengthen the organization's workforce pipeline.

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Education, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Progressive experience in workforce development, program management, education, healthcare administration, community engagement, or a related field.
  • Experience developing partnerships with educational institutions, community organizations, or workforce development programs preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with grant writing, grant management, or workforce development funding is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating program outcomes and preparing data-driven reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership, educators, community partners, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
