Title: ILS2: Operational Support Specialist - Scheduling (Contingency Hire)

Program Summary KBR’s Exploration & Logistics (E&L) business unit delivers mission-critical solutions supporting global defense, federal civilian, logistics, engineering, and space exploration missions. E&L provides integrated capabilities across logistics and sustainment, mission operations, engineering services, readiness and modernization programs, scientific research support, and exploration initiatives in some of the world’s most complex and challenging environments. The business unit supports customers across the Department of Defense, federal civilian agencies, and commercial partners, delivering innovative solutions that enhance mission readiness, operational effectiveness, and long-term mission success.

Job Summary

The Operational Support Specialist – Scheduling provides integrated scheduling and timeline management support for ILS2 Task Order execution. This role is responsible for assisting with the development, maintenance, and control of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring program activities are accurately tracked, synchronized, and aligned with operational objectives. Working closely with program leadership and functional teams across logistics, planning, sustainment, and contingency operations, the Operational Support Specialist supports schedule integration, timeline analysis, and reporting activities. Through effective coordination and schedule management, this position helps maintain visibility into program activities, supports transition planning, and contributes to the successful execution of mission requirements. This role performs scheduling and integration functions and does not provide program-level authority, operational execution, or financial management. This position is contingent upon award of the contract.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support the development, maintenance, and updating of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to reflect program activities and milestones.
  • Coordinate with functional teams to collect, validate, and integrate schedule information across logistics, planning, sustainment, and contingency operations.
  • Monitor schedule performance and track progress against program objectives and established timelines.
  • Identify schedule dependencies, critical milestones, and potential risks impacting program execution.
  • Prepare schedule reports, updates, metrics, and analyses for program leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support transition planning efforts by incorporating startup, execution, and turnover activities into the overall schedule framework.
  • Coordinate with program controls, financial, and operational teams to ensure schedule alignment with program requirements and performance objectives.
  • Maintain scheduling documentation and ensure schedule data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Assist in identifying schedule conflicts, delays, and resource constraints and support the development of mitigation strategies.
Basic Qualifications
  • Secret Clearance
  • Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience supporting project scheduling, program coordination, operations support, or related functions.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling principles, timeline management, and schedule reporting processes.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar scheduling tools.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DoD, logistics, sustainment, contingency, or operational support programs.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and schedule management best practices.
  • Experience supporting transition, mobilization, startup, or turnover activities.
  • Familiarity with project controls, performance tracking, and schedule risk analysis.
  • Experience coordinating schedule data across multiple teams, projects, or operational workstreams.
  • Professional certifications related to scheduling, project management, or program management.
For Hawaii Applicants:

The expected salary range for this position in Hawaii is $79,000 - $118,500. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, work location, and other job-related factors. This range is provided in accordance with Hawaii pay transparency requirements and applies to candidates working in Hawaii.
